Here’s to a Mindful New Year

Hello, crafty friends!

Cheers to 2026!

This blog is so special to me because it is the launch of our newest lineup, The Stillness Collection.

Why Choose Stillness?

The New Year often arrives with a long list of expectations, but you don’t have to take it all in at once. While it's wonderful to dream of new goals and visions, you are always allowed to pace yourself, knowing that the year ahead is not a race, it’s a journey meant to be savored.

Stillness doesn't always mean absolute silence. For many of us, our homes are filled with the “happy noise” of family and children, sounds that mean our lives are full of joy and love. But even in a joyful, busy house, crafting gives us a way to quiet the internal noise. Whether you are crocheting, knitting, or weaving, the rhythm of your hands helps you find a calm center. It is a reflective act that lets you exhale the stress of the day and simply be present in the moment. Celebrating in quietness can be productive, too. It doesn’t have to be loud and chaotic. It can also be gracious and kind.

To support this intentional rhythm, we've designed a variety of colorways in our latest collection. You'll find shades of rooted walnut and brown, refreshing eucalyptus, and the light of Cloud Dancer.

Breathe Deeply

Inhale the present moment and exhale the regrets you have had in the past 365 days. Let peace enter by cleansing your heart. Beginnings are more beautiful when you start with a clean slate, free from any emotional stress. But remember, it’s also alright if you do it gradually. Peeling off those unhealed layers one by one is simply part of your journey. It’s just like how you make every stitch of your fiber art with a careful and steady pace: deliberate, purposeful, and sure.

Trust the Flow

Some projects may take you just a few days to finish, while others may require weeks or months. Have faith in the process. in your own creative timing. If you need to pause your crafting to tend to your family or other important things, remind yourself you are worthy of it, too. Creating involves work and discipline, but don’t be hard on yourself for having slipups from time to time. You are still a crafter even when you have to prioritize other items on your to-do list for some reason. It happens. You’re human. And you can always pick up where you left off.

Have a Fresh Start

You can blend celebrating the New Year with peaceful anticipation of the future. Every transition carries something, but it doesn’t always mean ending what the year that was has brought you. While it is wise to stop doing some activities that don’t bring profit to your soul, you can still continue some things you think are still worth doing in the next season. This may mean forgiving yourself for not being able to finish creative projects in 2025. Allowing grace to carry you through in 2026 is one of the kindest acts you can do for yourself.

Keep Inner Strength

Remember that being unhurried yet intentional can yield more results than being fast yet rushed. Next year, you will be able to crush every goal you have, not because of pressure but because of passion and dedication. Outward success is one thing; but nothing beats a sustained inner strength through it all. You can be both goal-oriented and have a healthy body, soul, and spirit at the same time.

Stay Grounded

Being grounded with who you are will help you tread on the paths, even the rocky ones and during cloudy days when things don’t run smoothly and situations are heavy. When doubts start to creep in, remember the reason why you started and go back to your truth.

Root to Rise

This is the time to prioritize your well-being, especially if you’ve been hard on yourself as of late. The rush in the holidays can be overwhelming, and you don’t want to carry the same weight in the New Year. Remember that rest is part of being productive. Being well-rested is where your creative roots can grow and your strength renewed.

You are more than just the outputs you make, so take your time intentionally and enjoy every step of the way that leads to a more mindful, meaningful, and creative season ahead.

Cheers to the New Year, and as always, happy crafting!
